The hotel is well situated for anybody wishing to visit the German Frisian Islands or the North-West German coast. Very friendly staff, the bedroom was clean, quiet and contained everything you would expect. . The food was excellent, the idea of a free starter before the actual starter seems to be quite popular in Germany and offers both the Chef and guest the chance to try out something new. Good road and rail links make Norden a good base and the hotel did not disappoint at all. Despite my rather schoolboy German the staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

Not a complaint as such but it would be useful if the minibar fridge could be utilised - it was 25 degrees during my stay and being able to keep some cold drinks in the room would have been useful.

Rooms not bad in any way but there where some scratches

Large, bright room, with clean, renovated renovated bathroom. Kettle in room, and wi-fi which (although a leaflet said it was chargeable) seemed to be free. Free mineral water, and a mini-bar. Good central location on attractive main street. Lock-up garage for bicycles. We spent two nights here, and were very satisfied.

Initial impression of the hotel was (misleadingly) bad, as the lobby was rather dark, and smelt of smoke from the smoking-room.

The location is wonderful

The only reason we stayed at this hotel was the wireless internet service. Unfortunately, it was not a secured network and didn't always work.
